Craft Takes Time. That’s the Point.

Patchwork Carry started not with a business plan, but with a workshop rental in Shimokitazawa and a conviction that motorcycle gear should tell a story longer than the ride itself.

Every bag begins as reclaimed military canvas — fabric with history already pressed into its weave. Paired with leather that carries the marks of its previous life, each piece emerges as something irreplaceable.

There’s no inventory. No warehouse. Just one craftsman, one studio the size of a modest closet, and the patience to build things that last longer than trends.

Materials with History, Built to Last

Every component is sourced for character, not convenience.

Reclaimed Military Canvas

Surplus military fabric sourced from suppliers in Osaka and Kyoto. The weaves carry the weight of real use — oil stains, fade marks, faded dye that no factory could replicate. Each roll is inspected, cleaned, and cut by hand.

Worn Vintage Leather

Salvaged from vintage motorcycle gear and old leather goods. The patina is already there — creases, softenings, the particular sheen that comes from years of use. Nothing is manufactured to look old. The character is authentic.

Three to Four Weeks, Start to Finish

No rush. No shortcuts. Just careful work at every stage.

01

Consultation

Send a message on Instagram or through the contact form. Tell me about your bike, your riding style, and what you need to carry. This conversation shapes everything.

02

Pattern & Material

Based on your needs, I select the canvas and leather, then cut the pattern by hand. Each piece is traced and marked before any cutting happens.

03

Hand Stitching

The assembly happens on a vintage sewing machine and by hand where precision demands it. Saddle stitch by hand for the critical seams. No rushed deadlines.

04

Delivery

Once finished, the bag is carefully wrapped and shipped. Or picked up in person at the studio — an option many clients prefer to see the work complete.

What the Community Says

"I've been riding for fifteen years, and I've gone through plenty of gear. My Patchwork saddlebag has been on three continents and still looks better than anything I've owned. The patina is only getting better."

"I asked for something that would age alongside my bike. Three years later, the bag has developed exactly the character I hoped for. Worth every week of waiting."

MH
Marcus H.
Triumph Bonneville · Osaka

"The consultation alone was worth it. We talked through what I actually needed versus what I thought I needed. The result fits my riding like it was made for it — because it was."

YS
Yuki S.

"Sustainability matters to me, but I wasn't interested in looking like I'm making a statement. These bags look like what they are — well-made, honest gear that happens to be better for the planet."
